How Emergencies are prioritized

Patients are triaged just like in a human hospital and patients that are more critical will be prioritized first. If you feel your pet has a minor illness or injury that CAN wait until tomorrow, our urgent care department may be the right option for your pet.

Emergency Vs. Urgent Care

If the condition of your pet is life-threatening, go directly to the SFAMC emergency department, which is open 24 hours monday-sunday. If your pet has a minor illness or injury that CAN wait until tomorrow, SFAMC same-day urgent care is the way to go. Learn more about our urgent care service.
